What size quilt is good for a 3yr. She sleeps in a mates bed. Should I make it as big as the bed or smaller...I've already put together a rag quilt for her and it is 56inx56. If I was to make it the size of her bed, I would have to add 30 more blocks...Oh hummmmm

Bed size. She will grow and want to use it then also.

I wouldn't make it bed size yet. I think when she is older you will want to make her another. small one so she can cuddle with it easier.

If you want her to grow up with it I would increase the size to perhaps twin bed size (not sure what a mate bed is size wise - smile).

Bed size. She can still use the bed size to make a tent if she wants and when she gets taller she can still use it.

Thanks every one. According to her mom it will fit her bed, if you consider the room her pillow takes up...whoo no need to add any more blocks...all that snipping is killing my wrist.

I say bed size so she can use it for years.
