i bought a used/like new one but we are having trouble with the thread breaking. we checked and the machine is threaded correctly and the needle is in correctly.we have been using connecting threads 3ply long staple egyptian cotton 50 wt. thread. i love it for machine piecing.can anyone help? dj

Is that connecting threads mercerized thread? I can't use their thrad in my long arm...unless it is the pro essential thread..otherise it just breaks.

I have exact machine and had same problem. After several trips to dealer we found out that to FMQ I need to use a size 14 ball point needle not a sharp. I use sharps for piecing and straight lines. Been a match made in heaven ever since.
