I have used Rowenta irons for the last 15 or so years and my latest one just went out. Had to go buy a cheap one at WalMart as I can't sew without an iron. I want to get another good one later.

I have a brand new Rowenta and hate it I am going back to walmart tomorrow and buy another Shark Thought I was getting a good deal and a great iron at the same time but I still hate it after two months

I am very happy with my Black & Decker Digital Advantage. The only con for me is that I have to reset the level every time (this might be an issue on any with an electronic setting) but it's not a big deal to press the button a few times to get it to the cotton setting. Unless I forget.

I have the 1800 watt Smart Iron Pro-Zone Pressing Surface Oliso. It has a 30 minute auto-shut off and has the lift, which is an awesome feature. All of the Oliso's I looked at, has the lift. I have used Rowenta's in the past but was never happy with them. The Oliso's are very expensive but I love them!! :)

Well, I had the Shark (the expensive model) from Walmart and took it back after 1 months-leaked like a seive!! I learned that the Chinese made Rowentas were bad, but the German made ones were ok-was at Costco and ended up buying a Rowenta Master made in Germany, and so far I love it!! Time will tell, though. I hope I got a good one, considering all the lemons many people have had!! The only thing I don't really like with it is the water tank is blue and a bit hard to see the water level when filling unless you're in the right light.
