I've been collecting a lot of 2 1/2" x WOF strips from cutting leftover 1/3 yards or less and from other people's scraps...

So far now, I have quite a bit of strips. I know about Bonnie's wondeful patterns on Quiltville-so far I do basic 4 and 9 patches and rail fences. I plan to do a hidden wells as soon as I collect enough of the same colors so it's not too scrappy.
I make a basic strip blocks from my less then WOF strips.

Which scrappy strip patterns do you use the most?

I like the super quick/easy jelly roll quilt pattern that has been posted on this board.

Cozy Quilt designs have some great patterns! I've already made three of them.

Is the summer in the park pattern (the youtube video) as easy as it looks? I'm afraid that I'll cut it wonky and have it not turn out like it should.

Boxed Squares is one of my favorites.

It is easy as long as you sew straight seams in your tubes, and cut properly. Even failing that, the blocks are cut on the bias, which gives you a little play to fit your seams... I did take a little extra time (and some re-dos) to get the points to match really well. I'm a stickler for points and can't let them pass when they don't look perfect or get cut off.

Do a search on the board for Boxed Squares, there's lots of pictures of them made by board members, many of them in batiks. I made two of them with bali pops, and they were gorgeous.

They are beautiful! The one in browns would be a great quilt for a guy...

Wow, thanks for the boxed squares pattern link and the note to search for photos on this site. I love to find different views of patterns.

That may be my next project. It looks so cool with the batiks.

Thanks for sharing - I need to start a "to do" list! One that is written down somewhere and the first quilt on it needs to be Boxed Squares in Batiks. (Right after I finish 5 wips.) :)

I found this one recently that looks promising,
a scappy bento box with a nice tutorial

I maybe able to make a QOV if I stay with maybe a white, beige, gold tone and them mix and match my red and blue strips.
