Sounds like your Walmart is getting rid of all they can to scale down the size of that dept. That has happened in almost all of them in our area (Kansas City, Missouri and surrounding towns). Our nearest one is in Blue Springs, MO and they don't have anything to speak of for a "sewing dept" now and you can only buy the small pre-packed fabric now. Bummer. You are very lucky. Grab all you can while you can!
