depends on the size of the blocks, I can't do a 12" block with my juki, need to do in segments.. your machine looks like it might only do a 4" swip at a time...

With what appears to be a normal size domestic machine on your frame--you are limited to 3-4 inches of quilting space so an overall meander would be the norm for that size. You can get creative though and do in the block designs or stop--needle down--and advance. You can do the same things with a small machine as you can with a large one--it just takes more planning & rolling. I've used both a 9" domestic machine and a 17" midarm on the frame and the only real difference is less rolling (advancing the quilt).

I have a Juki on my frame too. I quilt left to right on it. I can't do a whole block at a time on it so I do half blocks and then go right to left on the second side of the block.

I have the same set up as you do, if I want to do the whole block I have to advance and back up alot. I do mostly all over meandering. I'm not good at ruler work yet, but I practice it alot. It takes alot of time moving back and forth but it's worth it. When I get over half way thru the quilt and my throat space gets too small, I tack my sides and the end of quilt down and put a few rows of basting, then turn the quilt. Then I start were if left off and quilt to the end. Then the quilt is all on the belly bar.
