Can anyone recommend a good place to buy quilting items in bulk such as thread and batting.

Thanks

I buy thread from Connecting Threads. The spool sets are nice and the cones are economical. Also I buy from FilTec. They are great for buying in bulk and have excellent customer service.

Do you have a preference to a brand of thread or batting?

I really don't have a preference. I guess I should have asked that as well. What do people prefer. I have been using up my stash which was gifted to me so I never really paid attention to what type of thread it was. Now that I need to replenish I thought I would get some opinions.

Don't have any but hear that Connecting Threads stuff is good. I hope so because I put that on my Christmas list my DD wanted. Hope she gets me some.

I just recently started buying mine from Connecting Threads and am real happy with it. They have a good sale going on right now.

I highly recommend Connecting Threads.

I can also recommend Connecting Threads.

Another good source is Threadart.com

If you like prewound bobbins, I recommend this as a great source of reasonably priced bobbins nicely wound with your choice of either polyester or cotton thread:

Thread Art.com is another place for thread, also Createfor less.

Threadart.com has the bobbins that are prewound for embroidery machines and they are pretty cheap. I ordered 144 for something like $26.00. You have to check your own machine to make sure they will work with it.

I have a babylock (Ellisimo) and they work great. These do not work in a regular sewing machine, wrong type of thread.
