I am an intermediate quilter (8-10 top stitches per inch) just back from a vacation during which my mother and I sandwiched a white-on-white quilt, and so I am about to begin quilting it. Any advice or suggestions? Wench

I assume you're quilting by hand? If you're using a hoop, start in the center and work your way out, and keep the quilt loose in the hoop - if it's too tight it's hard to make stitches.

Enjoy - it's great quilting weather around here. Cold, with snow on the way.

Thank you for your advice! I failed to mention that I am using 100% cotton batting, which makes it more difficult to get the stitches as small as I would like them to be. Oh, yes, I also failed to mention that I am hand quilting it and am using a hoop. I took your advice and loosened the quilt a little, and the stitches are easier to make--just like you said. Thanks again! Wench
