How do you know if it is working. I want to use it with fleece and never used it before. I tried it on a sample and pick up one side the other side lifted with it, but it pulls apart real easy. So how do you know if it works?
Thanks! |
I use the 505 Spray from time to time when working on smaller projects.

HI I am new to the message board I have read may of the messages posted. This is the first one I have found that I might have some to say about. I have used the spray basting. It does allow you to pull your pieces apart to reposition them to smooth out any wrinkles that you may have made. The one I use says you may reposition your piece up to one month. As long as it holds everything together when you pick it up it is working.

I just recently started using it and so far I like it. It's nice to be able to reposition it when you need to. It sure beats basting with threads and pins.

I just tried using this and am now ripping the quilting out. However, I think the reason it did not work was my fault, not b/c of the spray. I used a microfiber blanket for a backing (no batting), and also tried machine meandering, both for the first time. I don't know which one caused the problem, but I am glad I didn't have to take out any basting threads in addition to my quilting stitches. My sister uses the spray and loves it, so I think the problems I ran into were due to my quilting and not the actual spray. This is what I posted about on my blog today if you are interested in reading more about my problems! LOL!

I love basting spray. It holds well and can be reposition as needed. And I don't have to spend all afternoon on my knees on the floor pinning.

Basting spray will hold the quilt layers together...
But if you pull on a layer, it will separate quite easily. K |
thanks for the question as i wanna try it when i make my new landlords a quilt
