Wondering if the Halo is worth the price
 

I've been thinking of buying the Halo to help with FMQ but the price is expensive. I'm wondering if anyone has it and how it's working for them?

for those of us that do not have one, what is a Halo ????????????

Hopefully someone will answer as I too have been wanting one....

I have one and it works great for small areas to be quilted, like a small feather or motif. It's easy to move the quilt a little at a time very smoothly. Really I have two. I put one on top of the other so it's less pressure needed. I tried two at Sharon Schamber's vendor booth and it was better for me. Sharon told me if I only used it every now and then, I probably would never learn how to use it to my benefit. Practice!

Oh....oh....oh....I have one of those, mine is more a C than a complete circle.....
would rather spend my money on something else....like good quilting gloves.

There is a demo on wwwQuiltshopofdelandfl.com. She can't keep them in stock. She has everyone try one when they visit her booth at the different quilt shows. Using two together is something new!! Will have to mention it. OH it is a weighted ring that lets you move your fabric with ease when using your machine to quilt. FMQ

The Halo is a heavy metal rod coated in red vinyl. The C shape one can't compare. Sharon Schamber designed the Halo to be what she needed in her quilting, it may work for some and not others. She has been using two together for a long time.

I have the Machingers and they work great for large area quilting.

Good gloves is what I have an all I need. Others have used it and like it.

I tried the C shaped one that is purple (both sizes) and it was less helpful than gloves. I gave it away for someone else to try/use.
