A friend of mine got me a subscription to Fons and Porters quilting magazine and it came today! WOOHOO!!!

It's always such a happy day when mine comes! I wait until everything is done--then curl up in my marshmellow chair to study each page--folding down the corner just a wee bit on pages I want to make something from.

I just love the Flip Flop quilt. I have never done applique, but thought I would give it a try, will make a pillow first.

It came with 2 other little things with it. One for embellishments and another for projects. I'm making the tote out of the project one. I have a get together I have to go to on Friday afternoon/evening. It's at the COs house, his wife is sponsoring it. I need to take her a little something, so I thought if I made her a tote, she'd like it. She's a really nice lady, so I think she will. Plus, I have a quilt top that is just sitting and doing nothing. I'll finish that off, and put that in the tote.

I'm sure she will love it, and the added quilt will be great!
