Wool Batting for microwave bowls

I have a lot of wool batting and was wondering if it could be used in the microwave bowls? I know that the polyester blend won't work and to use cotton but was wondering about wool. It too is a natural fiber. Any comments?

I don't see why it wouldn't-it is a natural fiber, as you pointed out. I use wool blanketing on my ironing board, and it's fine.

I was wondering if you had tried making these with the wool batting and how it turned out.

Thanks :)

How would wool batting hold up to machine washing? Those microwave bowls need machine washing pretty often. I have never used wool in the microwave bowls, so I have no idea how it would work in a microwave either. Curious to find out though.

Some wools are washable - sheep get wet - the wool gets wet while it is being processed.
