Workshop or class?

I'm going to a quilt workshop today. Is there a difference in what you consider a workshop or a class? I got to many, some are called classes some called workshops and from my experience both are alike.

In my experience the terms are pretty interchangeable.

Well, thinking about it, I would consider a workshop an all day, 1-time event. Like 9am to 4pm with a break for lunch. My guild will bring in regional/national teachers and host a 1 day workshop. I consider a class something the LQS puts on. It would be multiple sessions of 2 hours or so. That just's my opinion, for what it counts. LOL

The same for me.

I think they are the same, they both last just as long
