I bought 77 yds. at Hancock's last week. They had 80% off Christmas fabric and lots of other fabric, as well. Today I finally took it out of the bags and folded it neatly and put it on my shelves. I think I'll wait a bit to start washing that pile!

Just think...once you cut, piece and quilt that fabric.....out there even more beautiful, interesting, appealing fabric awaits you:)

I used to have more of an issue with cutting fabric..thinking some just to precious to risk making anything less than the ulitmate quilt for the fabric. Then one day when "playing" in my stash I found several pricey pieces that were now out of style , or my taste had changed , and they aren't so special anymore. JUST CUT IT! There will always be more fabric.. and yes.. fabric that will appeal to you just as much if not more than the one in front of you.

Ew...now I need to go back to that other thread I saw recently about what happens to the edges when you wash it all...and how to avoid it. Guess I'll be buying a mesh bag or two for this.
Oh, and folding it back up??? The cut is off on one of the pieces by about 3 inches from top to bottom! Good thing I rounded up when I purchased it. |
