Today I went to the home of a lady who has decided to give up on her attempt to learn quilting. She had lots of fabrics from the LQS, and the biggest score was a full, untouched box (40 yards!) of Warm and Natural cotton batting. She sold it for $150... Money is so TIGHT for us right now, but I just couldn't pass up such a good deal, especially after what everyone is saying about the cotton batting going way up in price due to the crop shortage last year. It was a score, but it still stung to sink that kind of money into supplies all at one time. $3.75 a yard for cotton batting... woo hoo! I was *blessed*!

Fabulous bargains! I have been more sorry about things that I did not buy instead of the things that I did buy - so good for you. I am sure you will reap your savings, sooner or later.

Make some fabulous Christmas gifts with some of it! Start now though. Then you will be so glad you bought all this for a great price! It would have been very hard to pass up for sure! Especially stop and think all that would of cost at the LQS'S. You did good!

good for you and it is very sad with the supplies in hand and no help. been working with daughter in law because she wants to learn and make things. she is always into my stash but hey if she wants to use it to make things I do not mind. good find for you.

excellent job on the batting score! Love the fabrics!
You know what I like best about buying the batting by the bolt- I never run out mid-project and have to wait for the lqs to open! I just restocked my batting- the first bolt (just like yours) lasted 2 years. Enjoy!!! |
