Well done, I know how you feel as I did a congrat dance when I did my first one, I hadn't realised how easy they were to do and how good they look.

I really like the look of the buttonholes done with the 'old' Singer buttonholer that has the cams. They are so perfect! The ones that you do with the 'built-in' buttonhole stitches just don't measure up (or is it that I got spoiled???)

thats so cool! Reward yourself with a cookie. =) My goal for myself this year is to learn more about my machine and not be intimidated by it at all! All the feet..all the functions. Even changing the tension settings. Yikes!

My mom has an old Kenmore with the same system you are talking about on the Singer. Those buttonholes do look great. I was really surprised how good the Bernina foot was. It has some kind of sensor on it that remembers how long your first side is and stitches back the identical distance. All you do is push your reverse button to switch directions. As long as your marking is the right length for your button - you are good to go !
