At the rate I'm going with these new ideas I could start my own line of quilting patterns.

This one came up completely on accident. It started out as drafting out a Virginia Reel quilt and coloring it in. Somehow I got pinwheels in between my Virginia Reel blocks...I'd color in a little bit of each "tail" and keep working my way out and once I got to the outer edge of the block I kind of created this sloppy pinwheel thing, which kind of looked cool.

So I created another awesome quilt that I'd like to make, but not sure when I'll get around to. I still got the other one to do (finally got the fabric for it. yay!) It looks complicated, but its not. Basically a Virginia Reel block (minus 4 pieces...the corners of a traditional Virginia Reel got chopped off) and a plain ol' pinwheel.

I know its just two blocks combined, but you have the talent and the eye to see beyond the obvious--Such talent!!!! All I ever see is the obvious until someone more talented points it out to me

Plain ol' graph paper and Paint.

I can copy and print the messages but the drawing does not come through. What do I have to do to print the pattern to color it in. I hate to think I have to do it by hand as I am should be busy quilting. (Trying to get a queen size done before spring.)

Beverly, it depends on what program is on your individual computer. I pasted it onto Word, so if you download the file, you should be able to print from there. Let me know if you need it in a different format.

Thank you so much -- I never realized I could copy graphics in Word. This opens up a whole new world -- computers never cease to amaze me!

That is fabulous!

I'm new, so please don't mind me asking...

do you use software for your designs or graph paper or excel?
