You start thinking about how the picture book you just read to your 4 year old could provide some really great inspiration for continuous quilting patterns  dont believe me? take a look:
Follow the Line by Laura Ljungkvist http://www.amazon.com/Follow-Line-La.../dp/0670060496 or http://www.ohdeedoh.com/ohdeedoh/boo...ngkvist-040811 |
hehehehe
I can see why you saw it in fabric .... it is too cute! :) |
Oh how I know my son (5) just started to draw treasure maps and we have had the best time with free hand drawing little does he know I am preparing him for free motion quilting :)

That's perfect. I could not resist visually following the line in each picture, and now when I see any other picture, such as the cat on my desk calendar, I'm visualizing lines around it! I'll have to be sure to get that book for my grandson (maybe I'll even let him borrow it eventually). I wonder if Laura Ljungkvist does any quilting. Someone needs to put her onto it because she'd be a natural.

It is a great book, my 4yo and 6yo both enjoy it! Maybe an email should be sent to Ms. Ljungkvist... hmmmmm, I agree she'd be great at it!
