Hi everybody! You are not going to believe what happened yesterday morning! I was shocked.....happy, amazed and proud! I got a phone call from the chairman of the Joplin, Mo Quilt Guild. She had seen the article in the McCall's Quilting Magazine! And....Guess What!?!!!? She asked me if I would consider going to Joplin and be their guest speaker at their quilt guild meeting on Oct 19th!!!!! So, I am!!!

She said that she thinks I'd be a good inspiration to the quilters there and she would love to know what possessed me to enter a national competition, especially since I haven't quilted very long! Plus, she's amazed that I made my own pattern to sell too. I told her that the contest was recommended to me by a friend here on the quilting board. She also gets on here, but said she just reads it. She would like me to tell people about this website too, as it is great! I am going to ask Admin to make sure that it is alright. I don't see why it wouldn't be though.

Can you believe this??? I couldn't!!! I had to get on the phone and call all my friends and family to tell them. I'd just called to let them know that I made it to the next round the day before! I'm probably NOT going to like my phone bill next month! LOL I am also going to be compensated for coming!
