I found this video about bias binding. It's just like being at the class, the ladies are just like being at a guild meeting. There are two parts so be sure and watch both. I've never seen this method before, no sewing the strips together.

Interesting, I've never seen it done that way before. I've used this other method http://quilting.about.com/od/binding...g_strips_4.htm

Thanks for posting the link, neat to see something new, even though it looks a little cumbersome.

Very good film but I know I would get mixed up the first time and cut it wrong. LOL

i'm going to give it a whirl on my next project.

Great method but I would definitely be using my rotary cutter!

A little searching and I found a video that explains this better. She is making narrow bias but the same method.

Part Two:

I gave it a try and it works great EXCEPT I had the dreaded V shape appear . I followed the directions and ironed everything straight before cutting.

Thank you - the 2nd part uses an idea that Georgia Bonesteel showed years ago - said it looks like Elephant Pants :P - some of you may remember it. But I LOVE just sewing 3 straight seams to start! Having read the thread, I think I'll give it a try with a smallish piece of UGLY fabric first! Did I say I have some ugly fabric  ? Surely not - - -
