I have a new ironing board cover waiting for me to get up enough energy to change it, but it's blue not purple. I've never seen a purple one in the stores.
My purple ironing board cover is just fabric from my stash, pinned on my board. Works well for me.

Well, I do believe you like Purple. LOL However, purple is a really nice color and your quilt is awesome. Seems like I put red and yellow in every quilt I make. Although I have had several people tell me that I shouldn't put yellow in a quilt, I do and I will because I love bright colors and yellow. LOL

It really is funny, we all have color preferences, even if it is not as obvious as your love of purple. When people see a group of quilts, they say: Oh yes, that is a Penny quilt! I have tried to select different color combinations, but they alway turn out to look 'like me'.........really funny, isn't it!

Love, love, love your quilt! I am definitely a Purple Pash person - I'm even driving my second purple car! Purple is the ultimate feel-good color. I find myself buying lots and lots of purple and other jewel tones - mostly darker values, with some mediums thrown in - find it difficult to buy lights and neutrals - there isn't a neutral bone in my body! When I wanted to do the circle quilt that is my avatar, did a shop hop in CT over two weekends and had to restrict myself to just getting the palest batiks for the background squares. It was tough, but now I have enough of all the batiks (including oodles of purples, greens and blues - very watery-feeling!) to make a quilt for myself ... it will be a first since all my quilts have been made for specific happy occasions, i.e. baby showers, etc.
