If you get a piece of plexiglass you can audition your quilt design. Lay the plexiglass on top of the quilt and draw on the plexiglass with a dry eraser marker. You'll get a good idea of what it will look like before you start stitching.

We have a lady in our quilting group who loves SAW sends them out to a LA quilter. She always has an overall design done, themed to the fabrics.

The idea of the plexiglass is something to think about. Thanks for the suggestion. Still plan to put a pic of the SaW on the QB when I can figure out how to do it!!

Or use the Press N Seal wrap.
Some actually press it on, draw their design and FMQ right on top of it, following the drawn lines.
Then pull it off once done.
