Greetings,

I was told there is a Baby Lock Quest or Quest Plus workbook of some kind out there but cannot find the little bugger. Can anyone give me a title, author and/or a link to the location of that book?

TIA

Did ;you find this workbook? I just got one from my dealer, I bought a Quest Plus from him in December. It retails for $79.95. Which I think is ridiculous. I just came out and asked him for one and after some hesitation he agreed to give me one. It is full of color pictures, kind of a tutorial on the machine. Shows how to use each foot, etc. It's good, but not worth $80. Especially since on principle I think BL should provide a DVD or something for free for such an expensive machine.

I found the book and didn't buy it... I don't remember it that expensive though. I think I'll get it when I have more time to quilt, it's been hard with my little one... still working on the same quilt since July :(

Thanks for asking :)

I asked for this workbook to be included with my Quest Plus purchase, on a tip from a QB post. It's nice, glossy, thicker color pages with photos and step by step directions for which foot, soleplate, and settings to use for different techniques. But it's loose pages in a 3 ring binder, and the holes are already tearing, which careful handling. If it were properly bound, ideally to lay flat, then $20-30 would be fair. But $80?! Come ON! It's mark up, so they can say you got it for an amazing discount or that they gave you $xxx of "free" items with your purchase. Honestly, I'd prefer more straightforward pricing with maybe seasonal special offers or discounts for multiple purchases (like machine and serger or cabinet). How about prices and offer details posted? So everyone in a dealership gets the same deal on a given day. I've read $1000 to $1800 paid for the Quest Plus within a 12 mo period. Regional differences in cost of living don't vary THAT much. How can I trust my dealer, when the price of the machine depends on who they are selling it to, just basically the most they can get you to pay? And someone who bargains harder or knows the right info or person pays less than someone who is shy or whatever.
