I want to make a Bargello Christmas Tree Skirt and the pattern that I have uses this ruler. Those who have made a Tree Skirt what size ruler did you use? 14" or 16". These rulers are expensive so I don't want to buy two of them. Thanks for any help.

why not get the 16 inch one. This way you will have both size, provided the ruler has ruled lines, some don't.

What is a wedge ruler? Is this the same as a dresden ruler?

I think it also is a difference in the degree of the wedge. I think the dresdens are a little different degree than either the 9 or 10 degree when I was shopping for one.

Yours is probably a wedge ruler. They can be 9' or 10' or even several other degrees.

Dresden rulers can be several different shapes. Some are curved, and some are various other shapes.
