Smile cutting blocks

if I have a pattern I am cutting and make a mistake on squaring up the blocks so I have to cut them from a 4 1/2 block to a 4 inch block do I have to reduce every block on the pattern for the pattern to come out right like I have rectangles and 4x8 blocks and 7 1/2 x 23 and 4 inch blocks so do I reduce all the blocks by 1/4 inch ? help please

It all depends on how the blocks go together. In your case, it's very unlikely that they would all be reduced by the same amount. It would help if you show a picture of the pattern.

Do you have a friend who has an EQ program. If so they can draw out your pattern and help you with this.

Otherwise try graph paper to see what happens.
