Has anyone ever tried to piece together a quilt with fleece and flannel? What is the secret to matching seams without stretching the fleece? I am making a baby quilt but its not cooperating! I think I have taken the same seam out 10 times Thanks for any help! :-(

I have, but not on the same side. I usually do flannel for the front and fleece for the back and have never had that problem.

I have pieced fleece for backings. I cut the seams very straight and then just butt them up against each other, then stitch together using a close zigzag or satin stitch... it's worked well.

Orient the fleece so the stretch is all going in the same direction. That will help. Stay-stitch the stretchy direction and put the stretchy side against the feed dogs, using a longer stitch, about 3.0

in order to join fleece (or any knit/stretch fabric) to a cotton (non-knit) fabric you have to stablize the knit.

you can use sew-in stablizer or fusable- but stablizing is the step that will make or break the project.
