Question about painting sewing room
#32
I just repainted my sewing room a light gray to be trimmed with scarlet window and closet treatments.....yes Ohio
State scarlet n gray! Living in Indiana doesn't let me fly my colors outside, so my sewing room is all I get. I have a big window right beside my machine, so lots of natural light which is wonderful. If I sew when it's dark, I have to trust my choices in fabric because it changes with the light from bulbs (desperately need a new light fixture).....everything seems to have a yellowish tint.

I painted my quilting room with the palest of buttercream yellow and just love it! It's just a hint of color and it doesn't detract from anything I put on the design wall. Like others have said I think it's the best color for our purposes since it reflects rather than absorbing light like a dark color would. I have a soft green in my kitchen and would never feel like my colors looked true if I had it in my quilting room. JMHO.
