So I have been bitten by this Quilting bug and now want a walking foot for my Kenmore. Well searching online and on this site has only resulted in more confustion. For "horizional? machines, Good for "short" shank machines.

Attched are pictures of my machine. It uses snap on feet (correct)? Witch seem to be interchangable between brands-- from searching on here. My machine is about 15+ years old.

All the searches I have done seem to come up with the same foot. They don't seem to specify what modle maching they work for. Do feet stay the same thru the years?

Any help in deciphering the lauange of sewing machine feet. I swear each new hobby has its own secret code.
:-D

well, walking feet can work or not work on your machine. can you go try one out at a machine repair shop? I would if you want one of those.
with my 30 yr old Singer, i bought different feet from Nancy's notions and maybe Clotilde too. they worked fine on it.

I have found it easier to take it to my local sewing machine dealer and let him tell me what it takes. He is really great at knowing these things and since he repairs all brands of machines, he carries an assortment of accessories.

I will try and find a shop around me Right now I don't know of any. The only place I know of is the Local Jo-anns that sells machines and parts but they only carry one brand (can't remember witch)

It looks to me like this one on ebay has the correct model number. Even if you want to purchase somewhere else this information should help.

I have ordered many walking feet online, usually sewing/vacuum dealers. I email my machine's info, and they will tell me which feet will/won't work for my machine. :D:D:D

Short shank will work with your machine. There are few machines with the slant shank, and Kenmore is not one of them. So order it!!! It'll work! :-)
