    Question About Using Transfers

I purchased some transfers that had to be applied with a heat press, sort of like the transfers that you would use on t-shirts. I intend to put them into a quilt for my nephew, but I'm worried about how these transfers often crack and peel as they age. Is there anything that I can put on there to keep them from cracking? I know some people have used netting in the past, but I don't think that would work. Maybe something I could paint on it or even something that is clear that I can fuse on there?

I use them a lot on clothing for my DGD and other kids in the family. I have found that the heat from the dryer is what makes them brittle and crack and peel faster. I have never used them on a quilt so I don't know how to protect them. I hope someone here can help you.
