Well, I sent the walking foot and free motion foot back today. Went to a local store and purchased the walking foot (doesn't have the quilt guide) But I think for now that's ok..lol They are going to order me a free motion foot for my machine, since they didn't have any on hand.

Neither foot is sitting the way they should. I am the first to try and save a buck, but I can tell you that I would never buy any feet for my machine unless it is from the place I bought my machine. I own a Sears Kenmore Sewing Machine that is 33 years old. When we bought it, my DH got the walking foot for me from Sears---low shank machine. About 15 years ago, he got me a Husqvarna Viking 500 also low shank. I did not buy the walking foot because I thought the one from my Kenmore should fit since they both were low shank. Well, it did not fit properly. In fact it looked like yours does when I put it on. So went back and got the one from Viking and it worked great. If the person you bought it from did not have a Singer machine, then this could be the problem. I would see if I could locate a Singer store or rep and talk to them about it, otherwise I would be asking for refund and sending it back. Now, you might want to try Clotide's---mail order catalog that is online. You can call them and they will help you---they sell a lot of attachment feet. Good Luck

Jois..your just to darn funny, I was in here laughing at your wooden stake thru the heart and my husband even asked what I was cackeling about .
Girls, I've bought all these feet off ebay and tried them all, I have 5 machines now and most of them are kenmore but I had some old machine parts that was in my grandmothers stuff when she died many years ago and it was for her treddle sewing machine..guess what..they are low shank and all of these fits all my machines but 2 that are the high shanks my mom had. All those parts and the quilting round circle foot works better then any of the new ones I have..Hahahah(I'm new at all this and read what you all have to say)
Keep posting and maybe one day I'll learn how to quilt, I have made a winding stair case quilt top...to scared to try the batting and backing yet..HAHAH

thanks everyone I have returned the feet back to the seller. I did go to a local shop today and got the correct walking foot minus the quilting guide. But at this time I can live with that as I don't know what I am doing any ways...lol I was allowed to put the walking foot on my machine and try it out at the shop so that was nice.
They are going to be ordering me a free motion foot for my machine from a singer dealer. :o) might take a few weeks to get it but... better the right one than the wrong one? .lol

I am so glad you were able to return it and find the correct foot. Now take a deep breath, grab some chocolate and get sewing.

I would send it back and try another. I haven't seen a free motion foot like that one but there are many different kinds. It looks like it is working though. They take a lot of practice.

i'm glad you sent it back, especially since the vender indicated that there wouldn't be a problem doing so. i'm giving you a link that you might find helpful in the future, but be sure of what you buy and don't be afraid to pester the seller if you have any questions.

on the second one, you can be very specific about your machine and actually see the foot in motion. you can click on 'more info' for pricing. i've goten feet here with great success. however they do not have everything.
