I forgot to mention that I do take photos of each and every quilt I make. It makes it easier to part with some of my "babies" as they make their way out into the world.

Over the years I've made many baby quilts and gave them away. I do still have ones made for my children which will be given to their children if they ever have them. Most of the quilts I've completed ( vs. the ones I haven't completed, LOL) I've used. Several I kept were worn completely out ( the pitfall of using cheap fabric). I've only given away quilts to my family. However, I would not mind having 100 quilts on display in my home if I had the stamina, funds and talent to be productive. Am I alone in that feeling?

Usually, I have a reason for making each quilt, but I also make a lot for class samples. Those get sold, most of the time. I have donated some, too. We already have plenty of quilts for all of our beds. We have wallhangings and tablerunner. I don't often get very attached to my quilts, but there are one or two that I made to sell or teach a class and then decided to keep for myself.

Make quilts for charities!! Many group homes, battered womens shelters, hospitals, police and fire departments use quilts. There is also Project Linus, Prayer Quilts and quilts for wounded soiders. Check it out you may find someone near you that wants or needs your quilts.

Are you can send one my way!!! (hehehe)

Sew sew and make many more quilts!!!

I would love to give to charities, but since I live so far in the bush here it's 2 1/2 hours to our local small town then out to the city is 4, there is just nothing close by for me. I would love to ever go to a quilting class but again just nothing around. But I think I will try some table runners as Bebe says she does. or I think its Bebe lol new to the computor so I have a hard time to look back on the messages then continue to answer them. ttyl.

I give a lot of mine to family and friends. I have kept a few but it seems everytime I make something I always think of someone else and it tends to travel their way. lol.

I seem to find homes for all of mine. When I start a new quilt the husband always asks Who is that one for? It never has a home until I am almost done with it then sure enough some family or friend pops up that "Loves" it. I do give lap size and throw size to our local woman's shelter. All my scrappy quilts end up there. and there there is the grandson.. who seems to find a pattern or color he HAS to have.
