Question for Magic Genie Bobbin Washer Users

I am interested in buying a pack of Magic Genie Bobbin Washers; however, the catalog description says that they're effective for all drop-in bobbins. The machine (Janome 1600) that I use for FMQ has a bobbin that goes into the end of the machine, so it is not drop-in, but vertical in the machine, not horizontal. I have other machines (with drop-in bobbins) that I can use MGBWs in, but my primary goal is to have every advantage possible for FMQ on the 1600. Has any one of you used these washers in a bobbin holder that is NOT a drop-in? If so, please share the results with me.

I have a longarm machine (Prodigy) with a vertical bobbin, and I use the bobbin genies in it. I don't see why it wouldn't work in a domestic machine as well, although I admit I have not used them in my Bernina. But I don't quilt very often on the Bernina, mostly use it for piecing.

I use them in every machine I own. The only weird bobbin I have is for the Singer Quantum and the washers work fine with it.
    Got fabric?
