question regarding Hunter Star pattern
#11
Thanks girls. I think I will keep the lighter color all the same (means buying more fabric) and use scrappy darks I have on hand. It is for a step grandsons wedding. She wants neutral colors (browns, dark red, gold, dark blue) Does not like greens so I will try to keep them out. This will be a challenge for me as I lean hard to the brights and batiks. I did google the scrappy quilts. So many I liked, especially the two color ones but I really need to use some of my stash. It is taking over my basement! lol

Have a glance at the pictures that come up on google search, it looks like it would work and be exciting when done! https://www.google.ca/search?q=scrap...w=1260&bih=859
I agree. In fact, one of the images is of a Martingale pattern called "Scrappy Hunter Star," which looks great.

it will look fine. Just keep one side of the block as your neutral and the other side, your scrappy.
You can even make the entire thing scrappy as long as the block has enough contrast so you can see the pattern.
I am looking forward to seeing this one!

Tessagin.......I'd LOVE to see a picture of how this is turning out for you! I'm tossing around doing a camo hunter's star for my son.
