the white boards are usually those lawn signs that are plastic and look like cardboard. you can get them at hardware stores and stuff. not sure what a bolt buddy is though. there is a post in the tut section on folding fabric that is fab. I can't wait till I get enough fabric to use this tut. I will look for it and post. if someone hasn't beaten me to it,

Bolt Buddies are small clips that you can use to keep your fabric on the bolt without using a straight pin. I use hair clips instead, they work just the same and are a whole lot cheaper.

i get the cardboard bolt holders from Joanns..they are free.

i cut the cardboard to the size i want and wrap anything a yard or more.
i use 2 straight pins to keep them wrapped.
some things i splurge on, some things, i would rather spend the money on fabric.

all done..

before i put them upright..

this really is the best place in the world to get quilting advice. especially when you don't have local quilters around you that you meet with regularly. even when you do.

There was a gal from Alaska who did a big tut on it and she used coroplast. Not sure where the buddies can be found.
