my favorite is Warm wishes from Quiltmaker. The pattern was designed for Linus, but works for all.

I don't like rag quilts for babies, they pose way to much of a choking hazard for babies!! (IMHO)

In the current issue of Quiltmaker ( I think) there is a pattern that makes two tops that are nothing but a big square in a square. You end up with two tops, one each that has each fabric for the middle square and then the other fabric for the background triangles. It really shows off a cute print. Thought you might be interested. In fact since the quilt tops would be exactly the same size, you could use one on the back and make it reversible.

Rag quilts are a choking hazard for babies and small children. The very thing that makes them so attractive also makes them dangerous.

I have been promoting this for years and will always find a few people who say that because they have never heard of a child choking on a rag quilt it will never happen. Dumb people.

Here is a thread I started a few years ago. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-4303-1.htm
