I have made 2 Thomas the train small quilts for my grandson, Thomas pillows , bean bags. I haven't made a quillo for him yet. He loves dragging blankets around the house. When we go to a fabric area, he picks out the train fabric and starts dragging out the bolts and walking off with them. so I have to buy him a piece of train fabric; to make him happy.

It is so interesting to see how popular ideas recycle. 14/15 years ago I made quillos for everyone in the family--probably 20 all together. It was fun to run across the pattern this fall. My mother used to say clothes recycled every 25 years or so (my high school sports sweater looked just like her high school sports sweather) and I'm sure all of us who were young married in the 50's are seeing our clothes in the recent styles--the a-line dress, flared pants, etc. The new always have a little different flare, but the basic garment is right there. :-)
