A lady came into a quilt shop and she had done the courtyard steps quilt. The blocks were 12 X 12. She said she quilted each block as she went. Can someone direct me to a tutorial that teaches this.

If you are anywhere near Humble, TX, there is a teacher at It's A Stitch who teaches a class called "Get It Finished." She does all her quilts this way.

Georgia Bonesteel had a method that she called "lap quilting." There were some videos and several books.

We have several post on this and they have lots of links. Put 'fun and done'
    'Quilt as you go'
in our search field. Good luck. I haven't tried it yet.
