I was having problems this evening with my top thread breaking while I was doing some chain stitching. Decided to change out the thread and the needle (it's been there for a couple of projects), then decided I should recheck the manual about how to thread the machine. Seems I've been missing the last little holder just above the needle! Threaded it properly and was able to piece all four borders with no problem. I have had the machine almost 3 years, and can't believe I missed that one!

Usually it is something simple that we overlook. Glad you figured it out so no more problems!

It sounds like something I would do. I'm glad you found out about it.
