Default A Quilt For Comfort

Hello, quilters. I'm looking for suggestions for a fun, kids quilt. Last Friday, my daughter held a slumber party. Our new dog attacked one of the children. It was a horrifying night for all of us. It was a bad attack and she needed surgery to repair some of the wounds. It's been a nightmare of a week, to say the least. I find myself feeling guilty over missing my dog, but also so concerned for the girl. I was able to visit with the little girl last night and see that she was doing well and, thankfully, she still loves her dog.

Anyways, she's still on the mend and it's looking like a long summer for her, as she can't get wet. I would like to make her a quilt, but I'm having a hard time deciding on a pattern. She likes reds and blues, and animals.

This was a fun quilt I designed years ago. There is only one way for the fish in the lower right corner to get to his mate in the center.

You didn't say an age on the girl your making a quilt for. I just finished this one for my grandson. It was simple and easy.Or, you could do something like an I-Spy DP9. Simple, cute, fun.

What a nightmare! I think an I Spy or a Candy Jar quilt would be good.

Every dog owners worst nightmare. My sympathy to all involved. I recently made a simple square within a square I saw on a Fons & Porter episode using only two fabrics. The inner square alternating with the outer band to make a positive and negative, light and dark. It goes together super fast.

So sorry for you all! I always love to make the Scrappy Bargello from Bonnie Hunters free site. I buy Moda Jelly rolls in pretty colors. It sews up really fast, has lots of color, and looks great.

So sorry for all of you. Hope she heals well. What about an Ispy to help keep her amused?
