A quilt in a day?

It is very pretty, and I know about colour ruts. I have two in orange, and have plans for a third one done in similar design.
I also like the Canadian Living "jewel quilt" pattern that I used for two of them and have only done 3 in my life.
What colour do you think I like? go look at

Thank goodness I have 6 granddaughters, who love this colour.

I think that (your quilt) is just stunning. I just got a little gracie and juki, and am half afraid to set it up. I can't even do a decent binding yet, but I sure love to piece. Still learning, still learning. I would love to find that pattern. I too get stuck and have to fight to get away from my preference, which are the autumn colors. so I bought some wild batiks to make a lime green and soft melon diamond quilt. Wish I lived where classes were available, but alas, I live faaaar off in the woods away from any towns for this. Please show us how you finish the quilting? Thx, Chris

Thank you Chris,
Okay, I found it. I posted the finished quilt under pictures, titled Not A Quilt In a Day. I had a hard time finding it myself.
DON'T be afraid to open that Juki!!! Try it, you'll like it. The Lime and melon colors sound yummy. I bet that turns out very nice. Okay, I want to see you quilt something.

Oh, that is just gorgeous. You must be so proud of yourself! It does inspire me. I do have a pantograph that came with the frame, and I have some practice fabric that has preprinted designs on it so that I can get a feel for it. Maybe when my husband gets off his tractor, I can get that frame set up and start practicing.....LOL, I knew the day would come when just piecing wasn't gonna cut it ( I love piecing) and I'd have to grow up. Anywho, loved the quilting design you used and the thread really pops it. Thank you so much for sharing with me. Chris
