Quilt Design Programs
One design program is usually mentioned when discussing this subject. I know there are others on the market.
Have you had any experience with these and what may they be.

I used Corel for applique patterns but wasn't happy with it. EQ was totally useless for making patterns out of photos. I have goneback to tracing on plastic with very fine markers then enlarging to the desired size. I find it faster and easier.

I use EQ7. I love it and use it a lot. I use it to test out color combos I might want to try. I use it to figure out how much fabric I need. I've imported many pictures and images and traced/enlarged them with great results. I use EQ to help other people figure stuff out - my mom, my friends, people here on the board.
Having said that, I don't have any experience with other programs, so I can't "compare and contrast" them.

I use EQ7, but there are many others. Someone suggested that you Google for those programs and go from there. Some people even use drafting programs, so that might be something else you want to look at. Good luck.

I am a fan of Quilt Pro. I have been using it since version 1 and they are now up to version 6. I find it easier to learn than EQ (I bought that and gave up and went back to my good old program) EQ has better graphics, but the ease of use in QP more than makes up for it.
