I'm a very wet behind the ears beginner wantabe quilter...lol...I decided I would use an embroidered quilt block to see how it would turn out..this particular pattern has the block cut on point once finished..I have read several articles on how to place quilting blocks on point but am unsure how to turn an embroidered block on point...any help would be appreciated...Thanks

Cut your fabric large enough, so when you embroider in the center of it, you can center the design and cut the fabric after embroidering "on point" :D:D:D

What kind of stabilizer would you use to quilt an embroidered block? Cut away? If so, would you use a pc the size of the block so it does not show through the top? Just wondering. I want to do some embroidered blocks for my next project.

This I can answer...Use a medium tear away stabilizer..make sure that both you fabric and your stabilizer cover your hoop...hope that helps...

If I were doing this, I would have placed the design on the diagonal of the square block.

If you are going to trim this block so that the design is on point, be sure to leave enough for the seam allowance so you aren't sewing into your design.

if you do a stabilizing stitched surround -- you can place your fabric on point in the hoop---also i always cut fabric bigger so i can square up after the embroidery [dont forget seam allowence
