I replaced my inkjet printer with a new laser printer this winter. I was making my own labels by printing them. I did a couple on the laser printer and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. They were coming out HOT and WRINKLED! Then I read on the internet that putting fabric through laser printers is a no-no, it could catch fire! So now I use iron-on-transfers and colour them. No more printing labels on the laser printer for me...
Laser printers work just fine for labels and any printing on fabric. Art quilters have been doing it forever. You just can't use the packaged treated stuff like Printed Treasures. It's simply a different, and very easy, process. Here's a testimonial. :) http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-83713-1.htm

I stand corrected. I used the June Taylor Colourfast and that is what had happened. I also read about the dangers of using it. However, I am going to try to do the freezer paper idea for my next label. Thanks for the information and the link.
