Welcome, Maria! I don't know of any quilting lessons in Lancaster, but you could do a search online for that. We almost made it over to Lancaster county last summer when we were in PA, but it was a couple or three hours from where we were, then about 3 hours home. We only had enough time to travel back home.

Hi Miranda.............I have been trying to search online, but can't seem to find anything yet. I tried "quilt lessons", "quilt lancaster", and a few other combinations, but can't come up with something close to home. I'll keep trying. - maria

You could go to the yellowpages online, and find the quilt shops in Lancaster county, then just call them and ask if they have any upcoming classes. :)

Welcome Maria, from St. Louis! Hope you are able to find lessons close by. There are lots of lessons on line: Kaye Woods has a newsletter with videos. Ask at your local library, also. Seems there would be lots of info available because that area is known for quilts. :?

Maria--Here is a link to the quilt shops in the area. Most are Amish. All you have to do is click on the number on the map and it wil give you directions to any of the stores. Most of them do not have a web site, but if you went to the store some of them may offer classes. I lived in the area for a year and the quilting opportunities there are fabulous!! (Also a great place to start-or add to-your stash!!)

Maria,

Your best bet are the quilt shops in Lancaster County. You might also try the senior centers and the public schools that offer Adult Ed classes. I live about 1 1/2 hrs. from Lancaster and usually make the big quilt festivals there. Local shops may also be able to direct you to any quilt guilds in the area. Another poster gave you a link to the shops. Check them out.

Good luck and welcome to quilting.

Google shops in Lancaster County then start making phone calls to see which shops conduct classes.. A lot of the Amish shops don't offer too many classes. But there are also "English" shops - that is where you will probably find classes offered. Good luck and hope you enjoy quilting.
