    One very corny thought...

Our quilts become our 'children' while we work on them, all the love we put into them, the care of finding them a good home, etc. Well, we name our children so we should name our quilts. How else will people know which quilt we're talking about?

I name mine... in fact. I always put a label on them with the name, my name, date and a Bible verse.. and sometimes I will put the recipient's name if the quilt is a gift. Barb C

When I made my first quilt, I decided I was going to do the whole naming of the quilt thing. Of course, it was my first...and well a lot of words were used in making it. So, I simply named it "four letter words". When I made my second, I realized that alot of the same words were being used only a little louder. And I couldn't name every quilt the same thing, so I've given up on the naming of the quilts. I still use the words  but I'm saying them much quieter now.

    I know those words.

"Oh, you sweet little point, why didn't you match up with the other cute little point?"
"Time to rip another darling little seam out! Tra-la, tra-la."
"That beautiful little piece of fabric didn't go the direction it was supposed to go. Oh, my!"
    Those words?

You should hear some of my "darlin" little four letter words! :D Enough to make a sailor blush. I just hope my neighbors can't hear me! They'd call the word police or quilt plice or both. LOL

I once did a mystery quilt while staying in the Denver area of Colorado. I went over to Harriet Hargraves shop and went thru the clearance fabric to purchase what I needed. That quilt became known as Harriet's Clearance.
