I'd make as many as I needed for whatever I wanted. Maybe you could do each one a little differently, like making the tree skirt one round. Perhaps it wouldn't be so difficult to cut into if it looked (to your mind) more like a tree skirt. Or change one of the colors - red and green or red and gold would make a nice tree skirt. There's no reason to stop at one if you like the pattern. It's a lovely pattern, btw.

It's beautiful as a table topper. I'd seriously consider making all three. Love the pattern!

I would finish it as a tree skirt, then if you decide to still make another, go for it! I, too, need a bigger skirt for MY tree, too, so that may be swaying me decision.

It's beautiful and will look great for whatever you decide. I do understand about not wanting to cut it for the tree skirt. That would be my problem, but it would be a great tree skirt. Good luck with your decision. Whatever it is it will be the right one!!

Trust your instincts.
Your first thought was this is going to be a Christmas tree skirt. Finish it that way. Then, make how many others you want to coordinate as a table cloth and/or lap quilt.

VERY pretty by the way.

IMO the design would be "lost" as a tree skirt. It's a great pattern, love your fabrics.

It does make a beautiful table topper, so I might be tempted to make another one as a tree skirt.
