Paula Nadelstern's kaleidoscope quilts. It would be overwhelming just to make it through fabric selection, let alone piecing.

I tried and tried all one summer, off and on, to make a double wedding ring using many fabrics, always in the same order. Finally I had three perfect rings and made a table runner (instead of the original goal of a queen sized bed quilt). I am also in writing groups, so wrote a piece about all this and called it "I Know When I'm Licked". The group loved my writing piece and I kept the table runner for myself instead of giving it away. But I said to myself, never again.

same here. I want to do one, but I'm intimidated by it greatly.

Add me to the list of those who just cannot grasp the paper piecing concept!

I am a pretty simple pattern quilter--just about ANYTHING intimidates me except squares and rectangles--for example: triangles, circles, Y seams, scalloped borders, etc. are all scary to me!
