I say if you are selling charm packs, fat quarters and fabric by the yard you can't lose. I know I've spent a few pennies (okay, a lot of pennies) bidding and buying them on Ebay and also bought alot from Hancocks, etc. There is a lady who sells table runner 'kits' to make and two of my nieces have purchased them and they were lovely.

When I lived in Dallas, there's a great warehouse on Harry Hines Blvd down about a block from a sewing center. I can't recall the name of it but I could go spend hours in there. Not only for quilting fabrics but for home decor, clothing, just anything unusual. I really miss that place.......that was my Saturday morning out!

oooooooooooooooooooooooooh How I looooooooooooved Mary Jos!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did such damage there when I was driving through the States. My husband of the time had work down in Greenville, SC with the Michelin Plant. We were both living in Nova Scotia at the time. The summer of 2000 he had to head there for some business. So we decided to make a trip around it and drive to SC from NS. While he was in his meetings for two days, one of those days I met up with a quilter I met online from SC. She and I and her two adorable sons drove from Greenville, to Gastonia to show me this amazing fabric store. I died and gone to heaven!!! I remember standing in front of the store entrance with my mouth dropped!!! I was in awe. My friend took me by the hand told me to take a few deep breaths and go head first into this little gem of a store!!! I couldn't get over the size of the store and the quilting section alone was HUGE!!!
I would looooooooooooooooooooooove to get back there again!
If anyone is ANYWHERE near this place.. GO GO GO!!!!!

Henry, you really should check out Mary Jo's in Gastonia. Hint - it helps to know what you're looking for, because they have such a huge selection that it can seem over-powering. If you're looking for just that perfect color or theme (i. e., cats, dogs, fish, etc.), Mary Jo's is the place!

I volunteer to move there and "guard" the stash!

I think she'd be better off putting the stuff in lots and selling it all that way. Say, a lot of batiks or a lot of Kona cottons... etc. It'd even be cool to own something that way!
