I'll be taking a cruise from NY to the Bahamas stopping in Port Orland about Nov 8. I'm looking for a quilt shop to go to??? i know it;'s early, but i'm a planner and i want to get the most in on this trip, any places that I MUST NOT MISS???? please let me know of any quilt shops close to the ship harbor.
    thanks everyone,
    lynnie

If you are leaving from Port Canaveral - not sure where Port Orlando is - there is a huge quilt shop in Rockledge which isn't far from the exit to Canaveral.

Sorry, I really need to see that route marked on a map.

Is it a Disney cruise? Are you flying into Orlando, and driving or taking a bus to the ship? Where, exactly, is Port Orland?

This is the shop in Rockledge (referenced above).

Here's the link to the shop in Rockledge: http://www.thequiltplace.com/ It's about 20-25 minutes from the port. Orlando is an hour away.

You will love The Quilt Place! It's the best one in the area. Tons of fabrics and samples to inspire you. Very nice staff too! Be sure to check out the clearance section. They have many clearance fabrics about $5 yard.
