I can't help you with that but I have a feeling, given the gorgeous scenery of that area you won't want to be spending too much time inside, even if it is a quilt shop. ;-) As I right remember, there isn't a whole lot in Maggie valley besides pretty scenery and the Wheels through time museum. Pigeon Forge was very touristy on the main drag but I bet there would be some nice shops off the beaten path.

I am sure some other members will pipe in soon with recommendations.

The Cherry Pit Quilt Shop in Sevierville, TN is very nice in the historic area. Haven't been that way for awhile but bet you'll see several quilt shops.

I was in Pigeon Forge this spring and found some. We spent one whole day just visiting quilt shops in the surrounding area. In Gatlinburg, My Country Stitches http://mountainstitchesbysusan.com/ The owners (wife and husband) were in there and I spent a long time just chatting with them (as well as lots of $$!) Super nice! This was my favorite of all the shops we went to!

Kat Lovers Purfect Quilting in Knoxville http://www.insiderpages.com/b/152491...ting-knoxville so friendly Great little shop

Also in Knoxville, Memaws Thimble Lots of fabrics to choose from!!! http://www.yelp.com/biz/mammaws-thim...shop-knoxville

I wasn't impressed with the Cherry Pit, in fact I spent ZERO dollars there. Wasn't greeted when I entered the store and was completely ignored for the 10-15 minutes I spent in it. Didn't even get a "Thanks for stopping by" when I left.

In Seveirville , http://www.bestofthesmokies.com/Mach...Iva-10973.html Machine Quilting by Iva- Nice shop and friendly staff.

There were a few more but I can't think of them right now. If they come to me, I'll post again.

Near I-40 on the east side of Knoxville, the Dizzy Divas. Further into Knoxville territory, It's Sew Mary Jane. On the west side of Knoxville, Sewing Machines Etc. Further west Gina's Bernina. All of the shops AuntPiggy mentioned are also good ones. There is also a Joann near Governor's Crossing in PF. Enjoy your visit to East TN!
